G4 Install problem

Having problems getting Real Flight 4 to run on my laptop. It installs OK then when I attempt to run it it has "error creating effect shadowreceivedirectionwater".
Any help would be appreciated.

Seen a few of these now and the only fix seems to be a new software package.

What video card are you using, and what version is your driver?

You video card is not fully DX9 compatible.

You may have DX9 installed, but that alone does not assure compatibility.

There are cards made and sold today that use DX7/8 chipsets, which the buyer may be unaware of.

These are typically the lower cost boards such as the Nvidia 6200's or other x200 series cards.
