Planning on mixing my own from VP racing fuels 50/50 and methanol using Klotz oil purchased off Amazon. I say planning because I’m getting back into the hobby and not yet flying.
I have a semi-local auto parts store that carries VP products. I say semi-local because I live out in BFE. It’s about a 45 min to hour drive one way.

So if you talking about nitro airplane fuel, I live in north Texas and there are several Hobby Towns in the Dallas Ft worth TX that have it. But I found a cheaper source as gentleman has a small hobby shop in his garage over in the Ardmore Oklahoma area and the last time I bought some 10% omega which is my favorite I paid $23..00 dollars a gallon for it!

Hello. Whoever mixes their own nitro DF fuel, what do you look for in the ingredients??? How do you determine a 'good' quality methanol??? Where do you purchase it??? Please tell me all of the details. Thanks...

This is great fuel. I don’t add the extra castor and I only run 14% total oil. Best fuel that I’ve ever ran.

I run a total of 14% oil 2% will always be castor. Four strokes only. If it has cams and lifters, the 2% castor will be there
The Klotz “Super Techniplate” already contains castor oil .
