Being brand new to glow engines I am wondering which fuel is "best" for an OS 46fx. I am a fairly new flyer and am not interested in competition, just good performance for general flying and basic aerobatics. I am using Omega 15% now. Are there any other ones I should be considering and do I really need 15% or would 10% be fine? Thanks for the feedback

10% nitro will be fine...5% will be fine....0% will be fine
Choose a fuel that's got a high percent of oil and preferably some castor in it.

I agree with downunder, if you get a synthetic oil, be sure it has some castor in it, from about 20% of the oil to half of the oil as castor and 10% nitromethane is fine for sport flying. If you want to strap on an UltraThrust muffler or pipe later on, a fuel with 18-20% oil and 10-15% nitromethane can still be used for a little more power and some 1200-1500 rpm or so. Glad to see folks interested in just what their engine will use for a good long life and good starting and performance.

I seems like the 15% Omega is fine. I had my engine "tuned" by an experienced club member today and it was doing 12500 rpm with an 11x6. He seemed very happy with that so I'm assuming it's OK. Any comments?
