Default Stupid question alert!

What fuel do y'all use for four-strokers.. I have been a 2 cy. guy for many years, but recently stumbled into a Magnum 52 4cy.

I have 5% nitro (synthetic..?) and YS- 20/20...Do you guys use FAI or 5%?

Default 4 Cycle Fuel

I too am about to get into 4 stroke power with the ASP version of
your engine and will use Morgan Cool Power 4 stroke fuel. I think
this has a 15% nitro content, as the bottle doesn't say. I have
used Morgan fuels for my 2 cycles without a problem and expect
the same quality from their 4 cycle blend.

Razor,
Look into what that engine requires for oil and nitro contents and run that.
Don't be afraid to run a 2 stroke type fuel in a 4 stroke engine. Some fuel manufacturers use less oil in 4-stroke fuel and a bit more in 2-stroke fuel. A little extra oil in your 4-stroke is a good thing.
At least buy something with a disclosure on the bottle so you know if you are at least satisfying the engine manufacturers warranty requirements for oil content.

I'll second that..... Most 4 cycle fuels don't have much oil in them and most 4 cycles will over heat in a hurry on 4 cycle fuel. Not sure about the Magnums butmy saitos all like the YS 20/20 alot. Saitos run pretty crapy on 5% fuel.... poor idle, poor power... Give it the 20/20!!!

I use Cool Power 15% in all of my engines and have never had a problem.

I use home brewed fuel containing 5% nitro, 4% castor oil, 16% synthetic oil (by Morgan) and 99.5 % methyl alcohol to make up 100. I mix 2,000 ml. at a time.
