Mate these are oils u put into your "real" car engine. These are heavy weight oils for 4 or 6 or 8 cylinder car engines. I think trying to mix car oil into rc nitro fuel will just destroy your engine.

No it's not for cars. I asked Shell customer service and was told that the oil for racing two stroke small engines like go-carts and small motorcycles burning methanol. Should work with our small engines the same way like Castrol M is used by many.

Hehe sorry. Its just that...'When do you ever see Shell making oils for R/C engines?'
You know what I mean. You dont hear that very often. Usually when people hear that they straight-away think that its a car oil.
Ohh well...you learn something everyday.

Thank's
Now I have mixed 10% Shell Racing M + 5% good Castor Oil + 5% Nitro + 80% Methanol. My OS .46 AX runs good with it right now. Hope that in the long term it will stay so good.

You are using a fuel containing 15% of oil, according to me 15% is low it would be better to raise the amount of shell to 13%, the loss of power is negligible but your engine will last much more.Last summer I experimented 15%of molysint in a S.T.G90 the engine run perfectly, the model was very clean........ after about 5 liters of these fuel the big end of the conrod was gone.

why do you mix shell advance racing M with castor? it is already a 75/25 castor/synthetic mix!!!! (75 castor/25 synth)
check the specs on the back side of the bottle. (I'm in Greece, and we are getting the Italian version of this oil. it is on the label)
I used it before I tried motul micro (synth) it works fine exept the model is getting too dirty.

Just because I had a bottle of clean castor oil at hand what I wanted to use before it gets too old. Yes, the model gets very dirty and it was difficult to remove the castor oil from the plane in the cold. Also at winter time it was a bit hard to start the engine for the first flight with this mix but after that it was working reliable. The price of the nitro is so high here that for 5% nitro content the price of the home brew is almost the same as Tornado fuel. In my 4 strokes I have to use 15% nitro (the plane got a bit heavier than I planned) and now it's cheaper to buy fuel than mix it at home.

same here in Greece, nitromethane cost a fortune.
I just don't use it in my mix.
and to compensate this, I raise the compression ratio. it do wonders.
sometimes my engines have more power than the stockers with 10% nitro.
