Default Gasoline & Nitromethane compatibility

Has anyone tried adding nitromethane to gasoline? Some of my smaller gassers could use a slight power boost, so I was wondering if nitro might do the trick. I'm thinking may be 5-10% by volume.

I have no idea if nitro is even soluble in gasoline, or if nitro combustion byproduct(s) might be detrimental to gasser internals.

The usual trick is to and methanol, not nitro, to gasoline.

why not just use a valve with NOS (nitrous oxide) connected to it . Don't forget the AMA guidelines while you are at it......

Nitro Propane is compatible with gas. Nitromethane will not mix, it seperates.

There is a small thread in the conversions forum about lightweight gassers. The subject of E85 gasoline with 5% nitro and a glow plug instead of ignition is being talked about. Just a thought.
