Default Sourcing Ether

In good old nanny state UK, things are sometimes difficult to source, any one have any ideas how to get grubby paws on some Ether, i want to mix up some of my own fuel!!!

Inwoods list it in their catalogue, though that might be historic and perhaps they don't actually stock it any more. Tractor starting fluid is easy to get, but cheap it ain't - £5.00 for 1/4 litre aerosol (about $8.00) and the risk of blowing your head off when you try to get it out....not got a lot going for it. Handy for starting tractors though.[&o]

I wonder why they call it tractor starting fluid then, guess i will need to carry buying a 1/2litre at a time[>:]

Model Technics list ether as being available at about 10 quid for a litre.... http://modeltechnics.co.uk/

The local model shop, (or Inwoods) might be happy to order some along with their normal fuel order

If you are going to redispense starting fluid, the best way to get it out is to hold the can upside down and spray out all the propellant, then put a hole in the can and pour the ether into the other container. You can spray it directly into the fuel mix but you lose more ether.
