I already have 5 Gal of nitromethane
I have 2 qts of aa sig Castor oil
and have klots from when I raced gokarts..

and 3 Gal of methanol

can I turn this in to some good flyable fuel
are would it be more trouble then it's worth??

I would like to make like 30%

I'm sure something like this has been asked before ..

thanks in advance for any help..

The right answer depends on a couple of things
Are the ingredients fresh? - especially the Metnanol and the Nitro
Is the Nitro and Methanol "pure" (Better than 95% - I prefer better than 99%)
Is the Klotz the right one suitable for Methanol? (Not sure of the Klotz product numbers)

I f the answers are yes to all of the above, I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work for you
Try
3 Gals Methanol (50% of total Mix) (11.355 litres)
1.8 Gals Nitro (30% of total Mix) (230 FL Oz - Or 6.813 litres)
0.3 Gals Castor (5 % of Total Mix) (38 Fl Oz - or 1.135 lt)
0.9 Gals Klotz (15% of Total Mix) (115 Fl Oz or 3.4 Lt)

everything is fresh
the only thing that is not is the nitro ,but it has been keep sealed in a dark dry place ... it does have a color code on the can to look at the color to see if it is good ... does this help any?

or would you say the nitro is bad by date ?? I'm not sure how old it is

and yes on the klotzs ,, we run methanol on the karts and klotzs kL 200 most of the time ... this would allow the fuel to mix with the oil in the crank case..

If it's been kept well sealed AND the color code says it's OK - it is probably OK to try.
What about the Klotz? is it Methanol compatible?
If it is - try just mixing up say a litre of the fuel in total (500ml methanol, 300ml Nitro, 50 ml Castor and 150ml Klotz) - put it in one of your engines and try it.

I normally run Power master in my heli and my planes ,the planes have 4 stroke ,the heli 2 stroke

I think I will just try this on a test stand with an older 2 stroke I have ,, to be safe
