I believe it can but it would be expensive. I just go to the farm supply (Co-op) and buy methanol for ~$3.50 per gallon. I have been using it for a year now and it is pretty handy.

co-op i didnt think a farming store would sell methonal.how do they sell it? by the can or do you have to pump it thanks michael

lots of outlets have to have special expensive europewide chem HAZMAT contols and if they send me as joe soap with the new rules say a barrel say 55gal I got to have the same licence to store and dispose of it and that costs too much
too many regulations in europe

Our local Co-Op sell it from a 55 gallon drum. I carry a 5 gallon can and they fill it up for $18.
