Default 2% more castor

I want to up the 18% to 20% oil content in 1 gallon of fuel for break-in. Anyone got a quick recipe on the OZ needed to get to 20%.
Thanks in advance Andy

To go from 18% to 20% oil, add 3.2 oz of oil to a gallon of fuel.

Close enough. 2 to 3 ounces will do the job for you. More will not hurt anything, neither will a little less. The fact that you are adding Castor is the key, it is the magic stuff that works.

Cheers,

Chip

just remember, that if you add only oil, the % of nitro and methanol go down slightly. In your case its likely not enough to be noticable.

That works if you take into account the total package including the oil but the engine tune only recognises the methanol/nitro mix which doesn't change. Add oil and open the needle slightly more to regain the original flow of methanol/nitro. The ratio of methanol to nitro never changes no matter how much oil you add.

true, the ratio of methanol/nitro will not change, but overall ratios will be different. In this case wont affect too much, but if someone was to add more of one ingrediant than a few Mls it could affect the way the engine runs. The fuel will always be metered by total volume.

After you send the engine to Downunder you won't need that test stand, so you might as well send that to me.

You won't need the fuel, starter, and glow driver either, so send that to me!

The Jett motor will have plenty of power for your new motor mount The swingset pic must have been just after the test fire of your new motor. The kids all run off. [&:]

Heres a good fuel mixture calculator for adding oil to premix...

Good luck with your new motor, very nice!
