ORIGINAL: Jamming

Front bumper looks really weak, Would explode if you hit a rock at 50. I have never seen a RC car gain value,
the front bumper is 1/16 thick aluminum with a thin carbon fiber layer on top of that... you can pick the car up by it.

Lots of RC have gained value. Look at just about any vintage tamiya or kyosho. Quarterscale is the same. Right now, a Quarterscale car is worth at minimum what it was purchased new for. Some of them are worth 10 times when they were new. Just depends on the model.

Nice car! From Frank, right?

Pieces like this over time have potential to increase in value, that's for sure.

It should actually have a 26'' wheelbase then... http://www.ferraricars.org/ferrari-t...fications.html
ORIGINAL: quarterscalelegends

The TR has a 25" wheelbase. take that, multiply it times four and compare to the full size version. Thats how quarterscale cars are scaled. Its not like 1/5 scale trucks and buggies. If you scale those, they come out to around 1/6 scale.

while i do see the point of having a few laying around that look pretty, or buying a few to just look at, in my opinion, it is a waste what your doing. having all of that and not driving them at all isnt something that makes sense to me, but then agian, im 15 and i love everything loud shiny or fast. its all a matter of preference. quite the collection you got, and id love to see more of it.

quarterscalelegends posted pictures of his car, and collection, for everyone to share. He doesn't have to, but some of us appreciate that he does.
He stated in one of his earlier posts that he can appreciate that every owner does their own thing with their cars/collection. It's about what makes the individual happy.
For those who complain and moan about his choices with his cars, and don't want to afford him the same courtesy he affords you, why don't you go and play on your own thread about cars you thrash. You know who you are.

For me Milke, it's a great collection you have. Thanks for sharing.

Wow I can't believe all the negative comments here from everyone about whether he runs his cars or not. [&:]
Someone said something about a museum.
Well I guess that's sort of what he's doing - creating a little private museum.

Either way it's nobody's business if he drives his cars or not.

Sheesh

[sm=thumbs_up.gif] +1 here

1/4th scale is to big for my appetite.
I am into racing and racing only, that is what makes run my blood a bit faster.
But still I can appreciate it a lot to see someone sharing a nice car you do not see every day.
We should be gratefull for that!
I would run it though and probably to fast just jokin' gents...

we race out blitz trucks. My daughter and i do it. The 1/4 scale stuff is too big to drive and then you start attracting a lot of attention. Never mind trying to transport them...

Well exactly that is why the 1/4th scale died here as a race scene....
Shame realy because it was always interesting and fun to see these huge machines on the track.

Interesting PM I received from BJ1964

Quote:

You just can't resist making negative comments over here can you.. where is your other butt buddy mr ogel

this is precisly why many don't comment to quarterscale legends threads... It seems you all just love to stir things up here.

haven't you ever heard... if you ain't got noting nice to say,,,don't say nothing at all...

A real man like myself will reply via PM rather than make a fool of myself and post it in the thread for the world to see...

happy holidays!

What did I say that wasn't nice mate..?
All I was suggesting to people like YOU was that maybe if YOU can't say something nice about QSL's cars and appreciate his decision to do with them what he wants, then perhaps you should bugger off. It's people like you, who for reasons of jealousy or whatever, come onto someones thread and bag out their individual choice becuase it doesn't fit with your ideals. I like Mike's cars, I like that he collects them and doesn't run them, and I like that he shares them with everyone. If you don't, then maybe keep your comments to yourself.

You send PM's bagging people, like your rude comment about Mr Ogle, and try to hide your spineless comments so no-one knows what you say. If you're not man enough to say it in public then how about you don't say it at all. You could at least learn to spell someone's name correctly when you are defaming them also.

And you have the hide to call me a fool. Take a good look at yourself mate.

thanks dan, fact of the matter is thats exactly why so many people go onto that site, because we do keep it clean and dont pick on other members. Its an adult crowd over there as you already know. You have been an awesome member to have!

As far as bj1964, i suspect he has also gone under the name tmaxkiller, mbajja2001, and about another 20 user names, always banned from just about every forum out there, including QSL.

Merry christmas everyone!!!

for mugdy...
