i know that the rampage uses 23mm wheel hex. i think thats the same as HPI. i will email chris at redcat and see what he says.

ok, the rampage has a 22mm hex with a 23mm nut, the hpi has a 24mm hex.
there might be a adapter kit out there, but i couldnt find one. i did find one that lets you use rampage tires on a FG.

you can use JBweld on hpi rims to make them work on the stock rampage hex. put jb weld in the wheel hex, put it on the rampage hex(use seran wrap over the hex so the jb weld doesnt bond to the hex) and bolt it down (make sure its centered). the jb weld will make the hpi rim's hex smaller and fit the stock axle.

not sure i would do it just to run hpi rims, but its a cheap option that some have done. i do know that jb weld is a good fix if you strip out the wheel hex of the rim.

All you need are four HPI rear hubs and you will be set. I have this setup on my Dune Runner.

AH, so the rear hubs themselves can just bolt onto the stock axles? i did not know that. that sounds much better than the JB weld idea.
and it explains why i couldnt find an adapter kit!

No, you just replace the stock hubs with the HPI ones. I'd advise ya'll to look at the Redcat Rampage forum. There are many more users over there of the Rampage platform(except all of the banned folks)

Check around ebay. Last summer I bought a couple sets for my rampage. They usually sell much cheaper there. I can't remember exactly how much I paid per set, but I want to say it was under $15.

I use and recommend the vertigo extended rear 5b adapters, increases width by 16mm and adds stability...[link]http://www.vertigoperformance.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=89&zenid=ofn3dm3lqln3i1rdegpg4cen56[/link]

The Dune Runner is already wider than the Baja. I haven't seen any need for extenders for my DR. It is so heavy, it has no issue with stability.

I know it is a bad angle but my Baja has Vertigo extenders on it and you can see that the DR is almost as wide...

I knew I had a better picture...the Baja didn't have extenders installed yet in this photo...

It's a nice buggy due to the 4WD but it is a heavy beast. I am about to convert it to a TT since I have been having issues with certain DR 4x4 parts that aren't available. It has been a tough sucker for the most part until you slam it into a curb
