According to MMR they will have some forsale at this years RCX show in California. As far as a true release date I havn't heard anything. These engines should be very interesting if the #'s hold true. BZMmakes some of the best small engines available. Im anxious to get my hands on one!

RE: Horsepower War A Brewing!!!
the micro engines are reed and a completely different casting that zen, so power figures from comparable motors arent really viable....

Surely if the engines fit in the car, whether they are a different casting or not is immaterial. IMO, comparisons of them are far more relevant than twins or giant Skopods are.

what i meant as ppl saying "whoa a 23cc that makes six HP".... what they should be saying is "whoa, a reed, port angle optimized 23cc that makes six HP"

I can't wait for this years ISC speedrun should be really interesting in the large scale class!! With all these high horsepower high reving motors out. I mean you have the 50cc OBR Inline twins , 62cc Skopod , reed inducted 30.5cc and the 23cc reed inducted BZM, mighty mouse motor from Italy !! Should be interesting especially if each motor is represented. In the largescale class a Fg set the world record for the fastest largescale at 97mph with a modified smallblock.

RE: Horsepower War A Brewing!!!
This winter someone I know has sucessfully transplanted a 57cc inline twin in a MCD, guess what it fits with only some minor modifications. Can't wait until he finishes it and runs it !! His test runs will answer some questions about the MCD drivetrain being durable enough to handle the hp and torque of a inline. I have a MCD too and would like to put a twin in it too!! But before I invest in that twin it would be good to know if the drivetrain has any weakness & can handle the horsepower.

Picky, picky the transplanted comment was just a bit of humor, I am pretty sure my friends project is going to run but I am not sure about how the MCD drivetrain will hold up but by running it you will discover if it has any weak points and come up with solutions.

Sorry, but no. Until it is up and running in the MCD it is not a successful transplant.

Sorry but you are incorrect def. for transplant says .... ''to remove or transfer an object from one place to another'' My friend did succeed in putting the inline twin in a different chassis I did not say it worked .

RE: Horsepower War A Brewing!!!
Hi guy's i have been looking at this thread and i have to say that this scottie from mmr is not a good engine builder. I say this through experience, i gave him my trevor simpson engine to test on a dyno and he lean seized my engine. When i asked him to rebuild it he done more damage rebuilding it because after he sent it back to me and put back in my car my face looked like this[>:] [:@][:'(] I had to send it to alro racing systems and he said that the guy who rebuilt the engine should pay for a new one because he done such a bad job. I can send all the emails to confirm what happend !!! I think the horse power thing is over rated but if you can find a engine more powerful than a trevor buitl by ian oddie bring it.

He was not running all the way thru the video. I don't believe that the 75mph reading was accurate because he was running . But he claimed 70 not 75mph.

Update on the MCD transplant. My friend was going to put a 2 speed on that inline twin but production problems on the 2 speed make that impossible for right now. Soo he is just going to put in the inline twin.[&o]
