My Ultimate parking lot Basher
I live in a area where their is no club close for onroad racing so I usually just bash on the parking lots with some friends. We usually run 1/10 scale onroad cars like the Nitro TC-3 ,V1RRR etc, etc. But in the resent years the parking lot we use to run on have deteriorate to such a degree 1/10 scale cars can't run on them anymore because the surface is just to bumpy. So I stop running for a while then 1 year my wife surprised me with a 1/5 scale MCD Rally car that I discovered could run quite well on these surfaces that were too bumpy for my 1/10 scale. I have been doing somethings to it to try to improve its performance, like lowering the suspension and narrowing it too and putting different tires on it were designed for on road racing. I also put a longer chassis plate on it so I could put a Fg BMW body on it and I have been thinking about laying down the motor to inprove handling. Here are some pictures. [img][/img]

You Aussies are kinda wacky. I am talking about RC Cars not carts that runs into your car while it is parked on a parking lot. My definition of a Parking Lot Basher is someone who get togather with a group of friends to do some non sanction racing on a unprepared parking lot surface. Most of the cars used for this type of racing , at least locally are not the high end expensive race cars but the cheaper ones you don't see any FG's but you do see Redcat Rally's HPI Baja etc, etc.

And you open yourself up to quirky comments when you take pics with an interesting backround such as the inside of your kitchen, as opposed to a boring garage.. lol.
Nice car by the way..I want to get me an onroad ride myself.

Those pictures were taken after I had just put it together, I can assure you it does not look that clean anymore..I do not have any film of it running yet. It takes some getting used to, it really depends on the surface you are running on. The tires grip on some and others it just drifts like crazy. Love the thing though... I also love my f1..Nothing of mine is a shelf queen.. they all get run

The GRP tires really grip!! I had to change my camber setting on the front and put in a little more toe in on the rear then my car was planted!!

RE: My Ultimate parking lot Basher
It took me a while to finish painting my car body because my dog ate the decals. Lucky for me I was able to find someone to make me some more decals. I also ran into a problem with the rear body mount it was not secure enough so I had to redesign one. Body finally mounted on my MCD . Making me closed to completing my conversion from a Rally Car to 1/5 scale onroad parking lot basher.
