A few development pics

The exhaust needs to be lowered, that might be a challenge. next step is to start fitting the servos

I have a gear driven water pump from the gearbox. An electric one might be better so it doesnt sap the engine power

Cheers

Awesomeness is the right word here! But it seems very narrow, and with a huge wheelbase, what is it going to be to ask a stupid question? Do you have a body for it?

Yep a streamliner. No body yet. I'll build one to fit over the chassis when completed

This is real big block POWER! SSS5694 HOR Racing 1200kv motor running on 8s 65-130 discharge lipos. will smoke anything you guys have posted. rips tires off the bead locs and pulls wheelies going up sand dunes! top that!

The only thing I have that is that big are my rc boats a 52" V- bottom and a 565" Catamaran with duel 5694 motors pushing it. very nice build buy the way. I have a couple of builds that I have done with the shocks set much like yours.

this is a Revo that I built into a 1/5 Truck.

Some people like Gas cars because of the sound and the smell of racing fuel it is not just about speed alone at least it is not that way for me. It takes more skill to get a gas car to run fast than a electric one. In general all you have to do with a electric car is add more batteries and have a wheelie poping machine that is too fast to drive and you end up just breaking alot of parts because it is completley out of control most of the time. You can have your electric cars they are just a money pit in my opinion the parts breakage from the high speed crashes is just tooooo much.

agreed, whilst you are recharging or changing out yer batteries we'll be burning up the second half tank of gas and lapping you.

yes electric produces oodles of torque etc but 1. totally souless. 2. range is still a huge issue...i can run a gasser wot for 30-35mins...try doing that with batteries....only future i foresee is elec motors powered by an onboard genpack...best of both worlds then.

fortunately there is enough cheap oil in the world for me to burn until i die so i wont have to bother with batteries etc. yippeee

Hey , Twissted this thread is aimed towards people who are interested in 1/5 scale and larger gas powered cars. Now since you have a interest in electric cars why don't you start a new thread about Insane Electric powered cars??

Funny stuff there. I'll take that challenge any day. As mooman said, we can run a speed/endurance run and see who lasts. I'm pretty sure my 100+ mph gasser won't complain.

I am more impressed with your chassis design Ziggy it is more innovative. I wonder what Maxits has done to his chassis to counter the wheelie popping tendancy that the baja chassis has. To me it is just another wheelie popping baja with a twin in it. Looks nice but looks don't equal speed. He does not even have disc brakes on the front !! How is he going to stop it??

Which of the fuel sitting on the Back shelf does he intend on running? That's some powerful stuff back there. Lol
