RE: New Street Truck Build
You may notice that the grinder head is still "the wrong way" this is mainly because Ido not want to many revolutions into the Toro box. The Toro has been shimmed and I need the 3000 viscocity oil.
I do have a 90° gearbox which Icould use but choose to try this way to keep the final RPMlow for the poor straight cut gears.
What do my fellow shed builders

At the risk of sounding like a broken record.....
Unless your total reduction from motor to rear wheels is more than 6:1 that thing ain't gonna move.....
As far as I can see you've got about 2:1 reduction on the belt pulleys, then you're gearing it back UP about 1:4 with the grinder, and maybe back down a bit with the Toro box?
What was the reduction in the Toro box, if any?

Not up like you have it now.
You want the motor to work at high revs while the driveline spins slower.
Small sprocket/pulley/gear to big sprocket/pulley/gear = gearing down.
Motor spins 6 revolutions, rear wheels spin 1 revolution = less revolutions, more power.
Think about your normal car you drive every day.
Do you start it in 5th gear or 1st when you take off?
