Long frame XBE/5ive build
the pan that your looking at will be using mostly redcat Rampage XBE parts. the lipo trays are HPI vorza pieces and the Redcat Rampage X series Adapters for Baja Rims by RAMTech-RC
The esc that is shown is a 300 amp esc that is rated for 8s lipos.
I have a lot more to share as the parts start rolling in. diffs and motor and stuff like that. I have 700.00 in parts comming and have about that much more to go before this build get done. I will be using the Losi 5ive cage and body and that is the reason thay I'm calling it a Long Frame XBE/5ive build

RE: Long frame XBE/5ive build
This is most of the parts I ordered. the motor has about 5.5" of length to install the monster motors. I ordered the Beast motor for this build. It's the X524 series 9s capable and the kv is 910. Should be a real screamer.
ast X524-2Y 910KV for 1/5 Scale Car
Skyrc Protues Series X524-2Y 910KV Brushless Motor for Marine
Resistance (mh) 0.0069 Max Current (A) 190
Weight (g)1035
Kv (rpm/v) 910
Shaft Ø (mm) 8 Length B (mm) 102
LiPo max 8 8
Diameter C (mm) 57.8 Max Voltage (V) 33
Power(W)
The esc is a fliermodel 8s 300 amp.

RE: Long frame XBE/5ive build
Well I put a little thought into it and I'm going with the Losi 5ive roll cage and body.
Here is the two buggies next to each other to show the added length.

nice one, shouldlook good when complete, have u thought about some of the other bodies for the 5ive?
Hemistorm make a penta body that u can add fenders to change it from a baja buggy to a SCT.... and its around the same price as the 5ive body

RE: Long frame XBE/5ive build
Yes I looked at it. I already have a buggy. This is a truck build.
I built some rear turn buckels and the servo that is in place is just a stand in for the Hitec HS5755

RE: Long frame XBE/5ive build
So giving the rear end some thought I went with something that ties everything together and is light and stronger and easy to work on. This is a rough copy and I will make a final copy to night.
Here is the body that will be order this comming week.

Is that a true carbon fiber body?
Cost much if it is? Where from?

They are said to be a improvement of the stock body, but I doubt it... Lexan can bend to excessive angles, im doubtfull carbon fiber can...
Ive been a Losi 5ive enthiest for a small time now (nearly 12months) and lets just say I havent heard anything good about that body.
the side windows need to be cut otherwise it looks strange, but as soon as u cut them. The A piller is now a weak point, even worse than the stock body.
because the stock body's side windows are just a unpainted part of the body.
If u want a strong body, get the stock 5ive or the penta (more durable) and 2x shoe goe tubes and some tape.... that is the best current method to have a durable race ready body. even then its not perfect. Im doubt full that carbon fiber body could take the impacts and sholder rubbing from racing. Rember 1/5 off road is not very clean and is full of crashes
Here is my 5ive.... imagine it with the side window cut out, how easy it would be to snap the "A" piller.... its such a problem that the penta body does not have "A" pillers

RE: Long frame XBE/5ive build
Well then I better paint the windows silver and leave them in. I thank you for your input. I do little racing and do mostly builds. I do drive them, if I have the time. But mostly I build. It is for looks and I should get that with this body.
