The one thing I like about wings on rc is it's a handle when you need to carry it. So when I installed the wing on this build that wasn't possible. So I changed it so that it not only looks better but it's easy to grab on to. I used 1/8 buggy front arms to mount as bracket for the wing to mount to.

Does that have a HEMI in it?





I will get it installed to the cage so that it lifts when I pull the 2 body pins. I will finish the cage that I cut out and also build a cool air ram also.

I got the losi 5T lights in the bumper.

With the added scale motor I'm hoping I can still be under 19 pounds. I order some one piece lipo trays. I think that I'm not adding a carbon pan to this build to keep weight down. If it gets to messy inside I add some light weight plastic.

Well my Goal was to do this build loaded a19 pounds That is 10 pounds lighter than the orignal Losi Desert Buggy XL! I made it It is just under with the 1/5 bead locks and a pair of 2s 9400 lipos. I'm stoked!

So last night I ran it when the sun went down so no video. I did run it fairly hard. put some scratches on the lid and the scale Hemi came unglued, so I used E6000 cement to put it back together. It should hold up know. I also added the cooling lines to it and the air intake snorkel. I need to come up with a aier intake that looks good next and then a radiator and fans to get the look need for scale.

Not bad for scap parts. I knew this light bar would come in handy. I had these for quite a while now. I will find so super bright Led's to put in place of the weak ones that are in it.

I need better brushes. My paining skills aren't good as it is. brushes would help.

I nailed the skin tone. To bad the rest in't so good. If I had to get the color right to repaint, I don't think I could get lucky twice.

Well I tried my trans. I don't like it for a few reasons. 1) no slipper clucth 2) motor over heats to fast. 3) to noisy.
So I'm going to modify the drivetrain and try a savage trans or the summit trans.

I'm leaning on the Summit trans because of it's compact size. I like the 2 speed also.

So can any one guess what is different about this Summit trans install than any other install of this kind?
(Hint) look at the lipos and steerig servo.

I ended up using the Revo transmission and will save the Summit trans for the 18.5" build that will have the Yeti XL body.
