For $500 dollars you won't get much in a large scale truck. The FG 1/6 MT truck starts @ $1000 and the MCD 1/5 truck starts @ $1200. You can try to build your own like mine for $ 500.

I made both trucks and the off road truck will go 50 mph easy.It gets squirelly at that speed. It can go faster if I change the gearing and go full throttle and lean out the carb. I just put the bigger tires on and made a new forward/reverse transmission with a gear reduction. to move the bigger tire better. New Era use to make trucks like this but to expensive and certain parts became obsolete. Now everyone wants cheaper.

You can get the FG Marder at [link=http://www.fg-modellsport-vertrieb.com/]Hötschick Tuning[/link] for around US$ 700 + shipping, He ships without VAT to non EU adresses.

[link=http://www.krikke.net./]Krikke Racing[/link] in Holland also ships for similar prices and without VAT to the US,

RC car Online (Hobbythek) does NOT ship without VAT, or did not the last time I asked.

Speed -you are in the US - you may want to try a US dealer - prices will be very close.

Check out

http://www.molzermoweryracing.com/dealer.html

Of the dealers on the list - Ralph at FGpro's and Rcnuts have serviced many of us.
