Default Should I trade......................or not?

I have the opportunity to trade a cen genesis RTR for a new technokit...(EL with front disc)? It has never been run and comes with a painted body. I have always wanted a 1/5 scale, just never bought one. Anyways I am some what sure I am going to do this just looking for the "no way DUH" or "OK yeah". I have owned many, many RC's and have a chance to own a drive a 1/5 scale. I know nitro's inside and out (pain in the butt), but so addicting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess I am looking for the what would you do. I appreciate your feedback, I mean thats what we are all here for right!!!

As far as money goes i think the Technokit are about £1200 (i don't know what it is in euro) but I would rip his arm off and remove his spleen aswell......... in other words, if it was me I'd go for the trade. and if you get bored of the touring car you can always swap it for my competition HARM BX1 off road car.

Hope this helps

Mike

The ONLY drawback i could see, is that you wont be able to run much of-road with a road car

If i where you i would make the trade asap !! i do not think you could ever regret it, ever. I know you will not ever remember, or want to remember the nitro truck. Just dump it to the sorry bloke, and get that 1/5 car, not much to think about there i promise that you wont regret it in any way. It's so much more fun with a big car 1/6 - 1/5 you wont brake any parts easy, very low maintenance, and great power. Not any mess and parts breaking all the time like [&:]nitro[&:] does.

Just ask your self this question.... it's the only little question you should have. Can i stay away from the bush and high jumps etc ? if you are not a fanatic of-roader, then you can with ease chose that road car. There is lots of big car parks you can drive at, and other similar places, but be careful... these big 1/5 toys are dangerous.

Good luck to you whitek !

I am so glad to hear that all that have replied would do the the same. I was sure when this deal (today) was talked about I was a little uncertain, I am living in Italy. I know what you might be thinking but Don't be surprised that in Sicily this hobby is almost un-heard of. There are a couple of shops within an hour's drive, but their stock pile is way limited. Example: to bring a cen genesis in is eye poppping??? Yes I was a little impressed when it arrived but not all that. So when I pick this thing up I will shoot some pics, and more than likely be asking for advice. Once again appreciate all the feedback!!

Hi, I've spoken to Mike recently about his HARM BX1 and the pics are here:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/HARM...2657470/tm.htm

I'm assured that this is the current state of the car, not like some on ebay that show 2 year old photos and you get a box of broken bits!!!!

Just as an aside.............

If anyone has got an MCD Rally car that they consider swapping/trading for my Frankenstein Monster then can they contact me?!

It looks OK, somewhat used. I do prefer off road but I could not turn down this deal the other day that is why I have this car. But maybe a trade, maybe. Thanks for the pics. Your beetle looks great!!!
