RE: oil to fuel ratio
XX of petrol (gas) /25 = correct amount of oil. Useful reading. Damn Imperial/Metric differences...even in liquids

RE: oil to fuel ratio
Get a ratio right from a motorcycle shop or hardware store. It has all the ratios and you just fill to the line that is the ratio you want to run and pour it in your gas can.

RE: oil to fuel ratio
Hey thanks for the info. I've got the FG BigFoot. I've had many nitro and electrics, but I 've got no experience in the gas/oil mixing. Is there a particular brand of oil you guys use? Something from Home Depot or the Hobby store?
Thanks
Jeff
Thanks

RE: oil to fuel ratio
I personally use a new type of oil called N-Tek, which claims to have 80+ more %age of lubricity that any synthetic. That was recomened to me by the president of the company at 70/1..

RE: oil to fuel ratio
Dump the racing fuel on the weeds and run regular 87 to 94 octane (or white gas) all high octane fuel does is over heat your engine and reduce performance

RE: oil to fuel ratio
I run Bel-Ray H1R at 40:1. There's another forum thread running about this. Someone there recommended 50:1 for the Bel-Ray. I'm happy so far as I know with the 40:1 (but am barely a novice on 2-cycle engines).
Am I just wasting Bel-Ray oil by running 40:1 or doing damage to my engine? If not, I can afford to continue running 40:1.
Ken

RE: oil to fuel ratio
The worst you can do by using 40/1 as opposed to 50/1 is risk an increase in build up of carbon deposits and produce more smoke but who cares but at 50/1 if the carby is adjusted too lean you run the risk of damaging the engine sooner than if you run 40/1
I run Castrol TTS at 32/1 but the oil is good enough to handle 50/1 but at 32/1 I have more margine of error with the carby tune.
Zenoah recomend 25/1 with a good quality oil.
You can buy a lot of oil for the cost of an engine rebuild.
