Default 29cc Sikk Toys Head Kit

I've been checking out some aftermarket heads for my G260RC Zenoah and came across [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/FG-29CC-4HP-BILLET-HEAD-KIT-2MM-FITS-ZENOAH-GOPED_W0QQitemZ5992777442QQcategoryZ44028QQrdZ1QQc mdZViewItem]this[/link] kit. Has anyone installed this on a Zenoah G260RC? If so how much of a performance increase did you see? Any info would be nice. For $115 it looks like a good performance mod. Thanks!

If you can do without the fancy billet head but with a standard typical head, you can get the 29cc big bore kit with a lightened crankshaft for only U$104 from Oneillbrothers.com + shipping.

You will see a noticable improvement in low-end torque with the 29cc kit, compared to a stock G260RC.

In our testing, the 29cc kit with a jug head

actually outperforms and runs cooler than the 29cc with the billet head.

[email protected]ks for the info. I understand what the crank is but what is meant by a 2mm stroker crank? Could you explain alittle more in detail? A few other questions I have are, what is the reliability of the engine after you do one of these upgrades? Is the life time of the engine shorter or does it depend on how well you take care of the engine? I'll be using a Samba pipe and stock G260RC carb so after the upgrade will tuning of the carb be needed? Any special tools needed to do the upgrade? This is all new to me so I'm just getting all the info to make an informed decision before I might do one of these big bore upgrades. Thanks!

1. A +2mm stroker crank means (if I am not mistaken), the conrod goes up and down 2mm more than stock (longer conrod) thus with the addition of a 35mm bore cylinder brings up the capacity to 29cc.

2. From experience and reading in the forums - none. The engine crankcase is more than able to accomodate the extra power. Fuel consumption will go up obviously. Ryan, you could probably add your expert thoughts here?

3. Carb tuning will most likely be needed but it won't be far off from your setup right now.

4. You will need a Piston Stopper + (2) LONG 6mm screws to remove the fan and clutch assembly off the crankshaft + a small wood chisel to remove the key pin on the crankshaft holding the fan.

I would think about getting the Race Ported 27cc kit from http://www.davesmotors.com instead

gonsped69's post answered your questions well.

One issue on terminology - the stock G230RC / G260RC crank has a 28mm stroke. It's common to refer to a 29mm stroke crank as a +1mm 'stroker' crank, and a 30mm stroke crank as a +2mm 'stroker' crank.
