Leopard has increased chassis length and width. Leopard engine and diff is slightly higher. Leo larger front bulkhead gap and included with a pipe and side panels. Different servo saver placement and larger RC plate with more posts (more rigid) and space for one extra servo. Leopard has poly body (Marder ABS plastic)

Leopard body more rigid, but stock Marder has better cooling and allows the user to custom cut body. Leo has problem with pipe heating up T/B servo though. Leo has alloy diff and ball drives as standard.

best thing is to get the marder race

which has the best of both models

and the fat boy alloy threaded shocks, which mad wax forgot to mention, that come standard on the leopard, also come on the marder race

leopard also has belted wheels and tires and they are offset, making it wider as mad wax said

and it has the plastic splash guards on the side

they are very nice models, but you'd get the same fun out of a marder race, and its cheaper

HTH

Both are great. If I had a choice I'd still get the leopard Race. Much better handling. More expensive but a lot more comes with it as well. But make sure you look at the aftermarket options too. Some people buy the base model and then do it all up in aluminum parts and upgrade brakes/pipe.

Never thought about the heat issue on the Leopard!! Good Point!

If i was going to get one of those, i would personally choose the leopard i think, but they are both good buggys.
It all comes down to how you are planning to use it... how and where you will mainly drive it etc (short/long chassis, they both got good and bad sides ), and that is a very personal thing that you have to consider also.

Leopard wheel diameter are larger than Marder (same as Marder Race?)
Also one is called Leopard, and the other is Marder.

I just bought a Leopard last week to go with my MT-5. Wow the handling is awesome. The leopard handles better than theMarder race and it comes with the tuned pipe. Yes the throttle servo gets a little hot but I have had no problems so far. In regards to the stock wheels I am pretty sure the wheels have the same diameter as the Marders but are slight;y wider on the leopard. The choice comes down to if you want an off-road basher buy the Marder race if you want a track racer/ street racer buy the leopard. Either way these things handle great.

the wheels arent a larger diametre, nor are they wider, they are offset so it makes them appear wider

the wheels on the marder race and leopard or the same - there both offset and have fg super knobbly race tyres fitted as standard, marder race also comes with the following over standard marder alloy shocks,cv ball drive system, steel pinion gear, lexan gear cover, adjustable front end, alloy layshaft brake with larger poxy disc.

the leopard handles better if raceing due to chassi lengh and geometry of wishbones - same upgrade parts fitted to marder race comes standard on leopard but with the inclusion of alloy diff & fg tuned pipe.
