All I can say is IF the Baja 5B does turn out to be a great large scale buggy FG better get to the drawing board and design something a little better than the Lunar lander. HPI is such a bigger company than FG!! And HPI's worldwide distrubution makes FG look like a joke. The fact is FG will never out sell HPI simply because of the worldwide distrubution and parts support.
Everyone keeps saying that this is only HPI's first large scale vehicle. And thats absolutley true. But I think thats a pretty awesome first try!!!!! But you would think after all FGs years of experience in the large scale off road market they would design something a bit better to compete with HPI than a space ship with wheels!!!
The design of the Baja 5B is what FG should have been doing years ago!!!!!!!!!!!

HPI wont take 13years to do it though!
I think HPI have a stunning largescale car for there first venture and I cant wait to get my hands on one. Airfield raceway is already planing a 4 round summer series HPI Baja chellange. There is also tuning hop-ups aswell.
I know of one company that has wishbones, up-rights and shock towers on the go.

You meatheads have ruined yet another thread with HPI is great/HPI sucks propaganda. When(and if) the HPI comes out then compare the two; until then Shut your hole! Yes I have FGs but I would love a Supercross however parts are not available here and no Lauterbacher 2spd (probably never will be either due to it's pure competition roots.

6 pages of bull**** arguing and flaming over a car that isnt even in production yet!!! How can you possibly make assumptions as to which is better when one isnt even in production yet?! This is incredible...
FG makes great cars. They have very few issues and have proven themselves over the years. The only issue is the plastic gears... this is negligible, every drivetrain needs a weak link.
The Baja is going to be a great car, but it will have its share of issues just like everything else new to the market. The bottom line is it is immpossible to say which is going to be better when one isnt even on the market yet. We all know that the Baja is going to be great, but will it be better than the FG vehicles? We dont know that yet.

too make a long story shrot hndaman1 is short for hondaman1 since hondaman1 was taken already for a screen name back when I signed up for an account with my ISP they gave me hndaman1 so I have used it since
