[8D]I would get a good pipe[sm=idea.gif] Myself I like the Jetpro v2 with or with out the silenced muffler. It bolt's on around 1.3hp[sm=thumbup.gif] If you get the pipe I would change the gearing to 18/46, it gives you more controllable wheelies & more top end & just the steel pinion that way you still have one weak link. Also don't forget to get a wheelie bar. I jot mine from here->[link]http://www.largescalerc.com/Tunedpipes.html[/link]

Dont use loctite on plastic parts. IF ANYTHING a small amount of tire glue.
Loctite will eventually strip the plastic threads unless the right 'plastic loctite' is used wich I am unsure of the name as I have yet to find any..lol.

The loctite that you can use on plastics is called epoxy. Oh and another upgrade that would be very effective but very cheap is a gear cover. Only about $20, and get a return spring on the throttle lever on the carb.

i was thinking of using liquid electrical tape to hold the screws in plastic , as its ment to stop them from viabrating loose . but u can still remove the screw without snapping the head off it .

If your new to 1/5 scale & this will be your 1st, i wouldnt jump right in & splash out £££ on a tuned pipe, if you do you will notice no benefit!
stick with stock for a while then when you want more speed get the tuned pipe then the £££ youve spent on it will be well worth it & you will notice the difference!

Unless you were given the option to purchase your truck with tires mounted and glued, I do not believe they come with foam in the tires. And my opinion is yes they are needed for the tires to perform properly.

RE: Tips and Hints for new FG MT owner
ok , i have ordered the following :
alloy layshft gear carrier, elcon upper rear arms , stainless steel diff case , alloy engine mounts [ both big and small], foam inserts for MT tyres .
one question regarding the recoil starter -- duz the air holes need to be covered with foam or anything to stop the dust and dirt from geting in there and causing the starter not to engage .[ iv herd the baja b5 suffers from this probblem] and i didnt know if the FG`s do too?.

[8D] Hi frumpy, Troy just srarted to get them in & hasn't updated the web site yet. I did order one from him & I should get it next week[sm=thumbup.gif] I E-mailed him & asked if he was going to start to carry them? Then he E-mailed me back & said yes!
