Baja engine stutters at top end?
My Baja 5B engine seems to run great except when it hits the top end it kinda stutters or cuts in and out somewhat, not a smooth sound like you would expect. Low end and mid-range sound good. What would be the cause of this? Is it too rich, or is there something else I need to do to get it running smoothly? It is the stock engine with an X-Can exhaust, running 87 octane with 25:1 Amsoil Dominator oil if that helps at all...
Thanks...
Thanks...

Thanks. That's what I figured it was. Ran outta gas before I had a chance to fiddle with it, but I'll lean the high end down a bit to smooth it out as soon as I gas her up again Thanks again...

Sounds rich to me. Lean bogs.
Just turn the H screw a 1/16th each way from where it is now and run it. Simple.

Haven't had a chance to adjust it yet, but will tommorrow. I'm inclined to think it's too rich, and leaning it a smidge would fix it. Anyway, I'll update tommorrow which way it needed to go, ie rich or lean...

And your telling me I cant say what I want when I want.
A person can turn the screw both ways and you will see the results. Try it, you'll see.
