A reed ported motor would be great for offroad, the reeds add more torque. I would stay away from the head kit motors.

I agree wtih hathi about Reed motors.
Check out ESPs motors, Daves carry them.
Oniels has a nice motor on Ebay comes with a pipe, filter and prefilter for $399.

TS stuff is top notch, you cant go wrong with it! If you got the cash I'd look into the TS reed case motors, lots of money but worth every penny.

Thanks hathi, you don´t propose any engine of TS for off-road, no?

For my its better buy a ESP or a O´neill without headkit but with race ported with reed

TS is also comeing out with a new set of reed cases that bolt right in a Baja. The carb is in a more normal position, and they should be out any day now. You will need a good engine builder to properly put a new top end on it, but not much will out power it.

ORIGINAL: hathi

I would stay away from the head kit motors.

And why is that? ALOT of us have them and do not have any issues with them..............
