RE: ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...
I am thinking of getting one but I want to convert it to onroad buggy with slick tires and lowered body for at least couple of months to enjoy the shines and the blings before bashing it
Which slick/onroad tires and rims would be nice for it?

You could glue the SLD 2WD tyre.
That is an on-road tyre for offroad rims.
There is also this one. I am not sure if that would fit.
Just shoot Georges a mail at SLD he will know if it would fit the off-road rims. I think it does but I am not sure.
SLD has loads of different tyres that fit the off-road rims of FG, Lauterbacher, Contrast, Elcon etc etc.

It's exhaust heat wrap, as used on proper road cars.
The idea is to keep the gasses in the exhaust mega hot creating an almost vacuum effect, allowing the gasses to exit the exhaust faster, thus helping aid performance and horspower. Or sumthing like that!!
It also reduces underbonnet tempratures.. I used it on my Cleon for the simple reason that I wanted to keep the exhaust heat away from my servo's and ECU that was mounted right next to the exhaust! I don't think you'd really notice any benefits with regard to engine performance on one of these engines we use..
Unfortunatly the exhaust joiner I used couldn't cope with the extra heat generated from using the exhaust wrap and it ended up going like toffee within ten minutes! I tried another and it did the same, so I ended up relocating the ECU to the other side of the car and taking the wrap off!! It's also a nightmare to keep tidy and clean once you've got it dirty, and there's also a risk that if the exhaust is wrapped to much and gets too hot, the welds on the exhaust will melt and knacker the pipe!

That`s what I thought. I just sent my Samba F1 pipe out to get coated with a spray on ceramic coating. It`s called CermaKrome and can withstand temps up to 1300 degrees F. As you mentioned you might not notice any benefits but it will give a nice alloy color finish.
Modelcargo/Samba now coats the F1 pipe with a black ceramic coating. I`ll post photos when I get it back.
