I'll monitor the steel gears, but I went easy on the car for about 10 mins then ran it quick. did some cool downs and low speed to ensure everything is working right. one less thing to worry about. no worries of it breaking now from either stress or from a debris. metal gears should be stock equipment on all large scale vehicles.

Hey I've been reading this thread all night and personally I think gasoline is the way to go. I've been religiously hooked on nitro cars and for the last 3 years and engine rebuild/replacement, tuning woes, differential rebuilds, wheels and tires, BUYING $30 of nitro every 2 weeks or so killed all the money I SHOULD have put into these cars. So yesterday my 1yr old 4tec 3.3 blew its 3rd 3.3 motor and I cant take it ANYMORE. Im keeping my brand new 4tec roller (shelf piece), getting rid of all my other nitro products and after I get back from basic, I am buying a FS MONSTER TRUCK!!! So after reading all the stuff on this thread I know I have to take it apart when I get it, install all new sealed bearings, get new servos (waterproof/HT metal gears), change the gears to alloy, change the gear carrier to alloy, get new shocks and oil, get a tuned pipe, metal shock towers, get new radio ( Spektrum 3.0), Zenoah Coil MSD Plug wire & Cap ,TGN Kill Switch and finally medium loctite all the metal to metal, am I leaving anything out? (besides obvious spares) also what octane gasoline works best? Please let me know what I'm missing and or what else I need for a bad***** baby eating FS MONSTER 4x4.

Have you ever purchased items from them before? I've sent e-mails and tried logging on to live chat but no one is ever there regardless of the time, and I have still yet to get any responses to my e-mails.

Well for the past few days I've been busting around the FS Racing Buggy and trying to get it going. The work has finally paid off, the car is running like a champ this is using the included 30cc motor.

Upgrades are the aftermarket jetpro style pipe, and rear MCD shocks, MCD servo plate, and new radio setup (MX-3 2.4GHz FHSS radio, 2000mah lipo receiver pack, 3x Hitec 5745 servos), steel gears. Th

It goes like heck, not much ground clearance with the included wheels but I'm happy that it's running and turning so well. Dual steering setup is definately recommended makes a worlds of a difference in handling.

yes, I have a King Kong 4x4 1/5 scale truck. DO NOT BUY FROM OVERSIZE.COM!!!!!!!

he sound good and yes I received my truck but after that you are on your own, they are "F" for helping or anything that is wrong when you get your truck or car.

I found FSracing.com and they will help and back up there product and have great shipping to you.

I had to buy a new receiver "FM" and transmitter (the one that came with mine was "AM" and it took off on me two times) that made a BIG differance for the better.

I put in upgrade parts on front end - the plastic parts were too weak and than my back hubs went out on the tires. Yes the tourqe took out the square hubs. I heard that there are some upgrades for that too.

so right now - I have it running great with tune pip, but down now waiting on new wheels. I have not jumped this yet as the shocks already bent at the bottom.

So yes you will spend more $$ on upgrades, but I think long term it will be worth it.
