Default Why are RX batteries so exspensine for the MCDs?

Hi just been looking at some receiver packs on The Rossendale website for MCD, £73 for an 3000mah Ni-Cad battery, £40+ for a 2000mah, What the hell!
A 4100mah for my FG only cost £18.99.
Thanks
Guy

Do a search on ebay for a suitable receiver battery for the MCDs - 4300mah packs are only £18.95!!!

As an alternative I use 2400mah AA cells and they are only £7.95 for a 5 cell pack and there are no duration issues - nearly two hours of run time from one charge. Another benefit is the extra space in the receiver box can be used for a failsafe and/or a personal transponder.

There is no justification for the cost of the official MCD receiver batteries.

they figure if u can afford a $1000 plus car u will pay double a battery. i either buy bulk sub-c batts and build my own or a 6 cell pack and remove 1 cell.

You can fit any hump pack into the MCD radio box, they do fit.

Venom just came out with a sweet 5000mah hump pack for the Baja-5b which will fit right into the MCD's reciever box. As the previous post said any hump pack including those made for the HPI Baja will drop right in and work fine.
