What Shock oil for FG Alloy shock absorber
Hi all,
I'm starting a new FG Marder project,
what type of shock oil is the best to use in FG Alloy shock absorbers.
thanks.

RE: What Shock oil for FG Alloy shock absorber
i got a baja and am running 600 in the stock shocks, seems to work good could do with slightly heavier springs though...they came with 1000 oil which was too stiff, there's a good write up on shocks by foxy, it's in "the read this first" thread at the top of the forum page[link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7217508/tm.htm[/link]

I'd like to say that after they settled they did get a bit softer. My new recommendation would be 800/700. Also, the alloy pistons are quite a bit smoother, so they will bound and rebound more smoothly.
Also bear in mind that this is for MONSTER models, which have 8 shocks. Try 800 first since the marder only has 4.
