RE: Anything worth $750
I have a Firehammer MT that I got for $790 and its been pretty good. You're gonna want to upgrade anything you get though, especially in that price range. Like the FHMT, you need a new air filter with prefilter, pullstart prefilter, and if you want to jump, an alloy large motor mount(thats the expensive one since you can only get it in germany. Just my 2 cents as I'm new to large scale so I'm sure others will chime in.

I can get the firehammer for about 600 off the market place. I will not be driving the crap out of it, just messing around in the yard.

have you looked into the redcat line? they are right in your price range and seem to be pretty solid cars.

you can get it @ $379, like hellya said. get a 28.5 head kit, exhaust and a decent radio for what you are wanting to spend.these days 750 can get you into large scale pretty easily! good luck i own an fs (an mcd clone) and i love it, it did require a great deal of work to get it where it is now but i dont have much in it.

$659 for the Redcat buggy or $759 for the truck is what you should be looking to spend. Find a reputable site and buy from them. Call and ask questions, if they don't know the answers, then move on.

Alot of good people in this very forum have started off in 5th scale with this 5B clone, and several even still run them to this day.
Read this link to this thread, I have learned a ton from these posts. I will not lie to you, it is a really long read. But if you do read through it, you will learn a ton about this RC and just about every good hop-up to make it reliable and in some cases, more than par with the stock RTR 5B.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_72..._1/key_/tm.htm
There is one guy right now selling these on fleabay for just under $380 USD, and after shipping costs, a little under $480 USD.
If you opt for this RC though, I strongly suggest you take the evtra money you save and buy a real CY Fuelie engine (they come in many displacements from 23cc up top 30.5cc), or if you can spare about $70-$100 USD more, try to get a 26cc Zenoah. The engines on the KM have poor metallurgy and the cylinder walls are known to chip at the upper lips of the ports.
Read the posts from Benkie (Beckiesbajas), he has some very good engine upgrade suggestions in this thread.

I was more thinking about RampageHopUps.com as the reputable one. But, those other guys are good too. FG supply doens't sell teh Redcats.

5b's look cool and are fast, but if you like DRIVING then redcat is THE car, they handle like they are on rails! redcat even offers an upgrade kit to fix all of the disign flaws, and it is only $49.
