Default HPI 5B SS Build, any recommendations?

Any experienced folks here have any do and don'ts for me as to building my 5B SS kit? Anything to look out for or problems I may come across? Anything to do different than the instructions tell me?

TIA!

Be sure to get a good kill switch, you don't want a 30+ lb beast runaway[]

Thanks frumpy and yes a good kill switch is a must and will be on the buggy prior to running.

How about anything as it relates to the actual build process?

Here's a page with a build on it. I haven't read through the whole thing but I'd imagine they'd state any problems they had.

Pay attention to the front a arm and hub assembly. The lower a arm goes in the middle of the hub not on the bottom as I and others have mis-read the manual on the assebly and left scratching our heads as to why there is only about 1/4 inch of ground clearance from the shock skid plate to the ground!

Great info on that, now I am going to have to go and check what I did to be sure I did it correctly.

I agree with the others a good fail safe kill switch is a necessary item and should be first on your list. All so do the front hub c clip conversion.

What is the conversion for the c-clips you mentioned?

Here is a 100 segment video build of the SS page by page.
It offers a lot of building tips and tricks along the way.
