I would go either with the “Redcat rampage” or the “Smartech Titan”, the big advantage of the titsan is that it comes with a 28cc engine while the Rampage comes with a 23cc engine which might be too poor (almost everyone I now replaced them with a stronger engine, but the Titan one is relatively fine), both of them are 4wd and cost about the same price, you can get them for 750-800$

Rampage TT $619 shipped on ebay item##360135616676......

the CY 23 cc that comes in the rampage is better than the 28cc engine in the Titan/thunderbolt that is inhouse manufactured by Smartech .....The Smartech is a 3 bolt head...you cant change heads with our 2-4 bolt head upgrade kits

Watch out for the new thunderbolt buggies from Smartech and Nutech. The originals were pretty good, and the updates will be good value with viscous center diffs as standard and a few other improvements.

If you want a good 4x4 and for a good price check out the hurricane c5 from VSmodelsprot. You really don’t have to worry about having to spend more money
On upgrades because it comes with pretty mush all the upgrades you really need to make it reliable to race or just bash. Check it out.
