Default home made hop-ups on the cheap

I had a couple of days to kill,so instead of ordering and waiting for days sometimes weeks for parts to arrive ,i made my own.For my light pods, i use the extra hub arms from my 5b and for the pods,i use a led bulb.My MCD RR has the medium travel shocks at the front,i wanted the front long travel kit but it cost about 200 bucks!I have a couple of aluminum plate lying around which i use for the plate which i cut using a mini hacksaw.Cutting was easy, filling it straight was the hard part.It took me a day to complete the part.Although it's still look like it was "home made". A couple of hours more i could make it look like it was milled.I did the same procedure for the rear hub support plate.

If you hadnt mentioned it i would never beleived this was homemadeVery, very nice work here!I have made some stiffening braces on my FG too.It is very nice to know you have made something yourself that looks -or almost- looks factory,at least it is as functional[8D]

here's a full brace I made for my rampage...I had the local fab shop weld it why I held it together..It aint perfect but it works real good. Gonna fab a 4130 full cage next that'll take 37ib dropping on it. I also made the limiting straps and dual steering servo bracket. I wish I had a machine shop or access to one...handtools severely limit what I can make
