Hi guys,i'm back around
Hey guys, not posted for a while, been a little busy with MSUK Forum, hope you guys are all well.I've also been adding stuff to the Baja SS and she's looking great and performing even better, added a front bumper I made fom 6mm ballistic Lexan, the bulletproof stuff that gets used to line dignitaries car panels and boats aswell as the coppers riot shields over here in the UK.I have a buddy who does this for his job,he brought me a small offcut to try so I made a front bumper/skid and a main chassis skidplate, great stuff to play with but took some heat to bend it towards what it tkes to bend standard Lexan and other grades of polycarb plastics.
I've also made some stainless steel rear side windows to match the internal chassis skins and added some side window opening knobs using stainless half thread 3mm M5 hex head bolts, much easier to open the side windows now and i've deanodized my front shock brace and rear shock mount/brace.I've also got another 40mhz FM radio, the 2.4ghz Acoms I had worked well but only had 2 channels and my MX3 FHSS set is faulty so I swapped the Acoms for a Fuutaba T3PM-FS,fully synthesized with 3 receivers in total, the RF-602-HRS,RF-153 and a Hitec RX,all 3 channel and 3 crystals on different freqs. It works great, much better range now and faster with the HRS switched on.
I'm gonna post some pics of last months TM bash in Western Park,Leisc,England,we had a blast on the huge BMX track, some great shots of my SS at 18-20ft in the air,she flew great but the fun ended when I popped the front loer arm on a heavy landing. She's all repaired now and i'm waiting on the Turtle Clutchkit,DS V2 Meaty Bones and a FLM stock length arm kit.Below are the pics of the bumper and skidplate I made plus the other mods i've done like the new Fast Eddy's TB's with Lauterbacher rod ends, not as much as i'd like but been modding my RB powered Revo aswell.Hope you like the pics.By the way,i've been added to the prototype testing list for new up and coming UK company,Uber RC,who are making heads turn in the Baja community with some awesomely well manufactured products,i'll report more as and when things materialize...Cheers fellas.

RE: Hi guys,i'm back around
Cheers John, getting on the best side of the illness and should be in remission after another 2 to 3 treatments so fingers crossed.Good to see the forum powering forward, seems theres a lot more activity than before and more new members. Can't wait to get on further with the Baja, shes coming along well and seems to be faster than other stock 26cc SS Bajas for some reason,so much so that people keep asking me what mods has the engine had, apart from a NGK silicon plug lead and being well tuned, its completely stock.Just done the front hub C clip mod so no more bent clips and slack take up,I fabricated my own washers and countersank them, used HPI 3mm hex M5 screw to go into the already tapped DS V2 Extenders, machined the clip nub fron the hub so it sits flush with the inner race once fully home, loads better now and all the slack has been eliminated,i'll get a better idea of how well the bumper and hubs hold up at the weekends upcoming TM bash.See yer all later and keep having fun...

RE: Hi guys,i'm back around
Latest pics, tinted my ATX windows with Custom Color window tinter and the front bumper couldn't withstand my abuse, shame it looked good, thinking of fabricatng an alloy front skid/bumper out of 6mm chequer plate, its 6061 T6 so should be fine.I've bought myself a new radio set too,the Spektrum DX3S and put the telemetry RX on the Revo and the SR-300 RX in the Baja,so no more issues there.I've added a Savox SC-1258 12kg/cm T/B servo, its awesomely quick at 0.9secs/60 degrees, new foams in rear tyres and I have to get a new pipe as the SS manifold has cracked in 3 places, sure HPI used swept up alloy bits for this pipe, may go for the KM dominator copy or an X-Can,not sure yet as I want protectio and the TGN offers that,I was happy with my Bajas performance so the TGN would be good I think.
