HPI Baja Rear tire replacement?
Hello All,
I am new to the baja's so to speak, just got my first one a 5B new version. Anyway, I run a combination of off road grassy terrain and also occasionally running in on and off pavement. The stock tires don't like the concrete very well and was hoping someone could recommend a good rear tire that could reasonabley handle both and hold up fairly well to concrete?
Thanks in advance
Z

Ive been using the hostile all terrain tires for a couple of gallons now and they are great on road,
really hard wearing and they get good grip on grass and gravel,
these tires will last for alot of gallons and theres a great warranty on them,

How about the Proline Badlands or bowties? I like the way they look, but are they any good?

For grass and dirt, the Hostile Mini MX V2s are awesome, thicker mud and stuff the nightmares (MX) are the way to go.For tarmac,Hostile slicks are the rage and can be got in different colours too.I plan on a set of rear AT's and front Mini MX or I may even go for Mini MX V2's rear,Mini MX front,I only run offroad on grass and dirt, very rare I run on gravel and never run onroad,Bajas are meant to get dirty. The standard HPI tyres suck,Badlands are fine if used in the right situations..

You know its funny, alot of people say the stock rear Dirtbusters are bad, but they really are the best tyre on dry grass. I've tried Hostile Mini-MX, Badlands on grass and they don't give half the traction the Dirtbusters do.

^^My expeience was a little diffrent. The Dirtbusters lasted about two tanks on dry grass and dirt. Their not called Grassbusters so I ran em in the dirt. Nothing tops my Hostile MX's. Been about 5 tanks now with then and can hardly see any wear at all!! Not to mention they rip giant strips through the yard that I'v been told Im going to be fixxing this spring.....Im going to be tring out my new Hostile AT's and I think thoses are what you might be looking for..

True, their not called Grassbusters, yet grass (not dirt with stones and other sharp stuff in it) is what their best at and if your ever running on someones private golf course (without premission  ) then their the best. From what i've been told they were really designed for hard packed track clay, I know racers who swear for this they are hard to beat.
Sharp stones tear up their soft compound, so ungroomed dirt/gravel is really harsh for them but thats part of the reason they give so much grip on the right terrain. Lesson with tyres is to always be on the right type for the conditions, Dirtbusters have quite a small window.
