What's a decent middle of the price range onroad?

I just got a tank through this Rovan buggy and I LOVE it. It is making awesome power with that Rovan Dom looking pipe. Reminds me of driving a banshee lol.

I've got a cool video coming to ya'll as soon as it loads on youtube.

Bone stock Rovan 26cc buggy pulling wheelies in my yard..... On my 3rd tank and I'm loving it...lol. Funny thing is this buggy don't even have the 8k clutch. It has the 6k clutch setup. I'd love to see it with the 8k like my KM truck has.

Congrats on the Rovan turning out good!  It looks to be making plenty of power.  Check to make sure it has enough shock oil.  It looks very "springy" and bouncy making it wheely more.  Get some bashin video!

I got the 4 bolt zen installed, broke in, and vid recorded.  I'll post it as soon as I get time.

Actually this morning I switched out the shock oil to Associated 40wt silicone shock oil with 2 hole pistons. It feels a TON better now. My front right shock had NO oil in it out of the box and was definitely making it even more springy. I'm going to switch out the fork oil to some silicone shock oil on my T1000 tomorrow and get that a little better as well.

Let us know how the silicone shock oil works.  The hpi manual says not to use it.  I don't know why and never tried.

Some light bashing with the bug body on.  This is the first run with the zen g29rc since breaking it in.  I think I like it.  Good power.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmOlDFxE-e4

Some harder running.  I break one of the aluminum A arms at the end.  Listen for the two year old to ask the obvious.

I have lots more video bashing it hard that was recorded between the first two vids.  The second vid has the truck body on because the bug body was at home lettin the shoe goo dry    I'll post it as soon as I get time to edit.

Nice videos! I need to find a good bashing spot and bring out the HD camcorder and get some footage. I have to beg my g/f to video for me lol.

As far as the silicone shock oil goes it seems almost everyone that races the hpi's uses it. I've read a ton of good things about using it and some guys have 2 years plus on the silicone with no leaks or any issues. I don't know why hpi says to use the fork oil. The damping with silicone oil is TONS better feeling.

I've read that 50wt is great for the T with 2 hole pistons in the front and 3 holes in the rear. I'm going to switch out my T1000's oil this week. I don't even know what pistons are in that from the factory?

I have no idea what the stock weight oil is.  It's pretty thin.  What weight have you tried?

You have to beg her?  Pfffft.  Cut her off!  Haha.  We have fun with it and always do it together.  I constantly tell her how sexy she looks chasing the car down when it flips and whistle or holler out like a construction worker when she bends over to flip it or climbing for it.  I find being all sweaty and covered in red dirt dusty sweat beeds while wearing lil cotton shorts and a tight tank top waaaay hotter than dressed for a night out any time.  I make sure she knows it and show my appreciation very.... very clearly.  That seems to encourage her participation.  She drives some.  I try to get her to all the time.  The two year old LOVES going.  Soon as I start gettin car stuff together she asks "play with your car?  I go and play in big dirt?"

I put 40wt in my Rovan buggy with 2 hole pistons and it feels pretty good. I just put my new Dominator on my T this morning so as soon as the weather clears up I'm going to go run the snot out of it lol.

If this T1000 has 16 holes in the rear and 2 holes up front like a stock hpi 5T then I'm going to try 40wt/front and 15wt/rear at first.

Took a few pics bashing Sunday evening.  My old lady drove for the most part.  It got beat HARD!  I drove for 3 minutes after it got too dark for pics and stripped the spur gear.  Go figure.

Thanks.  I have as much fun shootin pics and listening to her holler/curse at it when it lands upside down as I do driving.  And yeah, the tire was popping out from one of the beadlock screws.  I didn't notice it till I saw the pics and then looked close.  Sitting on the stand it looks fine.  I've got a good bit of crash vid to edit down.
