Default Walbro 813

I currently have the 668 installed in the Baja. I was wondering how much difference the 813 would make. I hate the fact that on take off the baja tends to bog down just alittle then take off screaming.
Any thoughts....BTW I have the GP290 w/ 19/55 gears

The 813 has an accellerator pump which should get rid of the lag.

Get it you'll like it there is a reason they refer to it as a upgrade to the stock engine, or any engine for that matter. I have 4 of them, and I like them alot.

I run nothing else either...great carbs and starting without a choke is no problem...a few pumps on the throttle and it'll start in 3-4 pulls

Which clutch spring are you running? The stock ones will engage too early and tend to bog down. If you run the stock spring you won't get much benefit from the 813.

I'm running the 8K spring. There's not much of a lag, but it's there.

The 813 is a great carb.

But don't expect it to last very long, I have had 2 of them now, both of them lasted around 5 liters of fuel. Then was the throttle shaft and housing worn out, wich resulted in a LOT of movement and an engine that dies when you hit the brake [:@]
a freind of mine had the same problem, also on 2 carbs. (this is a common "problem" with this one.)

With proper tunning you can get the same result with a std carb. and they last a lot longer.
