homemade large scale servo?
i was wondering if there is a way to make a wiper motor of a 1;1 car work as a large servo, or even the photon speed motor off my stock duratrax evader??

RE: homemade large scale servo?
As i understand it the principle is to:
-Take the motor out of the normal servo
-Run wires to the wiper motor via a "H-Bridge"
-The H-bridge allows you to use 12V instead of 6V.
-Use the original servo arm to guide the wiper motor.
All sounds easy in theory but many people seem to have trouble making the H-bridge.
Me and a mate who's an electrician have been meaning to try this for ages but haven't got around to it yet, but will do one day.

yes that is exactly how you do it. you use the original servo top half with the servo arm linked to the wiper motor arm so it moves with the main steering linkage providing the feed back needed to know the location of the wipermotor linkage.
