Hey Fred.
Yes the lathe will come in very handy especially for making bits for mounting sprockets.

Front wheels
You can also see how I'm working on lining up the jackshaft with the pivot point of the rear swingarm.
Although I've changed that setup since I took these photos.....

Hey Stoney, sorry I completely missed your post.
Must have been around the time we were having a bit of a virus issue with the computer.
Yeah the lathe is getting a good workout.
Here's the latest effort.
Made some hubs to hold the bearings for the front wheels.

I just got the ones the bloke in the shop recommended.
Haven't got a parting tool yet, just that one for turning.
I also had a go at making my own boring tool which turned out ok for a first ever attempt.
Now where can I get me one of those snow blowers......?

Yeah not a bad machine.
Is it metric.... well it's got both metric and imperial measurements on the tailstock and on the cross slide indicators.
I use the 8mm bits with some shims underneath them.

for a parting tool I mainly use a hack saw, I have a parting tool but they jam up sometimes especially with aluminum... I've found the measurement marks on the thing aren't usable most of the time... when I'm doing something for accuracy I just measure often.

YAA ROOKIE
I keep pestering the blokes in my local shop every week with silly questions.
They're very helpful and friendly though, which is good.
