I like the quarterscale banner and the photo of the guy holding the F1 with the "lit" road behind it. :)

Thanks, There is MUCH more to come. Its still under construction and is in a "test" state right now. I am going to update with more pictures tonight. I hope this site will be of help to newbies and collectors alike. Since its so hard to find info on the net on 1/4 scale cars that are NOT nascar style.

So are you in any of the F1 photos?

quarterscalelegends 08-05-2004 08:24 PM

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

NO!!! ;) Those pics are from europe. They raced those things hard there!! Mine is actually the green one that has a sheet background.

The "Ford" with Benetton Sportsystem. Does that have an internal antenna setup?

quarterscalelegends 08-05-2004 08:52 PM

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

No. It was new and not driven. It is still un-driven.

8-5

fixed dead links and added yankee literature. Be prepared for a looooong load up time on that one!

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

There is no long load time here or there better not be considering what tier level I am on. Of course, it also depends on your host server.

How is that Bergonzoni in your garage? There is a used one for sale here locally. By the way, I think you forgot to list the one with the wheels sticking out in the upper right hand corner, not that you can really set it anyway. ;)

quarterscalelegends 08-06-2004 12:27 AM

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

Up in the right hand corner is just 1/8 and 1/10 scale junk. Who cares about that?

The Bergonzoni is a very good driver. I drive it in front of the house and it is waaaay fast!!! Never raced it though.

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

I own some of that "junk" too even though it is some high dollar junk.

quarterscalelegends 08-06-2004 08:59 AM

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

Yea, its high dollar. Problem is in a few years that small stuff aint worth anything. I only have 6 1/8 & 1/10 cars. I really stopped buying them and started investing in 1/4 scale. If you buy them used they hold their value quite well. Thats what I dont understand about these $1500 ++ Tmaxxes on ebay?!? In 5 years they are going to be worth $300!!......Dont EVEN get me started on RTR and what junk the hobby shops sell today....dang now I am ranting like a madman!:)

The black Indy CART without the tires looks pretty nice. Tag, the local driver who lives here just won the last Champ race. :D

That thing is nice! Looks like it has some type of mini V8?

quarterscalelegends 08-10-2004 02:50 PM

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

Yes that is a real working v8 engine. I have more pictures to load tonight and there will be a couple more with v8's!!!

As your gov said, "I'll be back."

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

I updated some of the car pics, but the best part I added is a historic pic section under history for raco. There are many pics of the old Raco Modelsport!!!

Sorry, did not get anymore v8 pics up yet.

RE: New 1/4 scale site!

Those engines put out about 4hp. The ones in the Indy cars are made by a guy in Europe. There was very few made. The options were fuel injection or carbs. I have more close ups to add to the site on the black Indy car. Conley is also going to release a replica 1/4 scale Ford 9!QUOT! rear-end! As for the price on the engines... I take offense to that. They are really a work of art, they also hold their value quite well. Conley sells quite a few and there is a 14week wait on them!! These machines are for people that only want the best.
