thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt
i saw that troy at www.largescalerc.com has the mcd blackline i guess it the cheaper version of the two .i allways like having 4x4 on my rc trucks i know thier are conversions for the fg mt ,but dont really care for them.plus i like the idea of have a truck built to my specs engine wise and such.plus the spare parts dont seem to be as costly as the fg .dont get me wrong i love my fg mt .its a great truck .i just like having 4x4 sorry i am country boy my real truck is a 4x4 gas hog .does anybody have any feedback on the mcd trucks any body have one are they durable .can they take a good beating not that i would beat the hell out of it i mosly run on soft dirts hardly do any jumping .just like playing around in the dirt.i will have to get rid of my fg mt and my smt mt in order to buy the mcd and have it built if it cost to much i will just buy me a baja:D

RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt
Once again, just like with the Onroad car......you can get that same truck from Germany to your door, with a engine, for less $$$ than here in the USA without a engine[:-]

RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt
Hi guys i just bought a MCD bug and i done a little research. some body told me that bob who ownes kingcobra has the worldwide distibution right so this would shed some light on why know mater were you go in the world the prices are all the same. There was one site in GERMANY that had only two or three MCDs for a discounted price because they are display models if you read the information about the cars. so if any body can give any new info on cheap MCDs please tell because my pocket hurts.:D

RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt
Dont worry guys the 4x4 monopoly will be busted soon enough:D I can see the Asian companies making the copies already;) Then if you buy by the container full, you can get them for 1/3 of the present US asking price.
Paying $1500 for a rolling plastic chassis is rediculious!! For that price it should include the motor, tunedpipe............ only thing needed to buy is the Radio system I can buy a rolling Marder chassis without a motor for $200-$300 |
RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt
hellya post a link to mcd from germany

The Black Line should be around €200 cheaper. |
RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt

|
RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt
ORIGINAL: radio_controlled_mad thats good price if it does inc engine?? Pro line version 1130 Euros ($1400) euros after Vat taken of.......black line will cost you less When your spending your hard earned money, its a good thing to get the best deal possible. $1500 for a plastic rolling chassis is not a good deal......Would you spend $10,000 on a car that came with no keys??? Well good news.......you can have the keys but that will cost ya extra[X(] Monoplies suck |
RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt

Bryan70546 I just bought a MCD and before it was delivered i thought that this could be a waste of money,[&o] but i made the most of the time waiting and searched for a good engine. Then i got a call to say that the car was at the shop, Paul at EFFECTIVE TUNNING.COM was telling me that this was a nice bit of kit on more then one occasion, and by this he means its really good car. It was only when i saw it with my eyes its one mean machine and forgot about money i spent and thought how much of a good investment i made. Nothing compares to it and thats why you are paying £££ for.;)

i emailed mogotech today about the mcd proline,it does come with zen engine + they will do shiping from germany to uk for 23euro,sent them another email just before about the tax to see whether i need to pay it or not - if there is not tax it will work out cheaper than buying the smartech 4x4

RE: thinking of buying a mcd blackline mt
@ 2deep
@ all kingcobra is not the world distributor [8D] only the sole importer for UK the different prices for the MCD`s are the result from different vat and shipping costs of the Countries the Blackline Modell is in the result more expensive than the Proline Modells 4 x 3-step adjustable Shockabsorbers = round about 200 € [sm=eek.gif] Shockabsorber fitting parts 30 € open diff each = 95 € Rollcache 50 € thats round about 400 €[sm=confused_smile.gif] different between BL and Pro is round about 200€ so you dont save money when you buy a Blackline because you will not have much fun with the Blackline friction shockabsorbers[:o] greets Hunter |
