RE: Nutech or Rampage?

what are the pipe options for nutech?

RE: Nutech or Rampage?

Pipe had the glitchy servos, but not the tx/rx; he said it had something to do with the lipo pack he was running if i recall. Pipe could you shed some light on this topic?

RE: Nutech or Rampage?

Jetpro has a TBII specific pipe, plus Moo has a 5b VRC pipe that fit pretty good; also there is a factory dual pipe and I noticed someone with a GBE pipe on his TBII yesterday.

here's the vrc 5b propipe...fits like a glove with the stock cage you just need to make a mount

mcd 4x4 evo3 is on sale at largescalerc for 699..thats a great deal!!

RE: Nutech or Rampage?

don't forget to add another $700+_ for 3 LSD's (if you want a centre diff too) to that price so you can drive it for more than 10mins without a diff going south...not such a great deal once you figure that in ( though $699 is in rampage price territory )

Yes the stock 2.4 radio. I just watch the video again and the guy was saying its the servo's. But for a company that really does listen, why are they not listening here?

When you buy a rtr you want an rtr

I can still post a link to the video if you want

funny thing I just watched a video on you tube of the 2.4ghz radio glitching away like the old 27mhz am radio's of the days past.

which 2.4 radio...there's a quite a few out there...do you have a link to vid as i can't find anything under 2.4 glitch other than the futaba/corona system?
incidentally the handsets look to come from the same vendor HPI use...the cases are identical and they are known to be decent radios

often it's not the handset but the servos, the servos that came with the rampage glitched like they had parkinson's running on my react...turned out it was the th/br servo causing all the problems...it was a throw away item from the get go

my buddy has an evo 3 stock, has several gallons through it. No problems with the diffs, and yes he does bash it!

Nutech are looking in to using differnt servos in ther rtr cars .........so yes they are listening !!!

RE: Nutech or Rampage?

yup they have contacted several vendors but want to make sure they get it right...mant rtr's suffer from servo issues and the rampage gws ones are as bad as it gets...not meaning to be nasty but just stating a fact..they are...i've grown to expect to have to change out the servos in rtr's before i even run one though not having to do it straight away would be nice change

RE: Nutech or Rampage?

the other downer is that the rampage doesn't use a "standard" size large scale servo (like Futaba or Hitec's large servos). So finding a direct replacement/upgrade is a pain in the rear. I've tried the aluminum "futaba" style mount/upgrade and it simply doesn't fit.

Obeast44 03-13-2010 04:39 PM

RE: Nutech or Rampage?

Ive got Hitec 5745's in my Rampage and they fit perfectly. On Ron E's Rampage he had the Futaba mount and the L bracket, and it fit perfectly with a Hitec 5745 as well. Dunno whats up there.

mooman007uk 03-14-2010 12:13 AM

RE: Nutech or Rampage?

I had to cut off the nipples on the standard alloy mounts and redrill the lower hole and file out a couple of notches on the back for a 5745...the futaba mount with the extra piece will fit that servo but not the 805
