Variometer telemetry
I see that FrSky 2.4GHz radio modules offer telemetry, including a variometer.

Can this be used as an audio vario or does it only have an alarm and visual display?
There is a display you have to add to your transmitter module but I do not wish to look at a display when trying to catch a thermal.
