DS session with Arthobby Thermic 2,5.
Same day and conditions as in the Trinitus video.
Low flying and realy good fun, the Thermic was measured with radar to 96 kmh/ 60 Mph, not bad for a light thermal glider without ballast.

You guys are TOO MUCH!
It's amazing just how much energy you're getting from even that little lip when it's driven by the sea winds. Especially as you begin to perform the chandelle/wingover maneuvers at each end and then dive back down for a "re-charge".
Any chance you could petition the local civic works department to build the dykes or connecting piers up taller? Just as a safety factor of course. Nothing to do with soaring models at all. Nope, just thinking about those poor houses in behind that need protecting from the storms.....

Yes its impressive what lift a small ridge can produce, when there is a good steady Wind from the sea.
Like this 15 feet dune, and + 20 knots Wind.
1 meter scratchbuild semi Scala Swift S1.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4KMqSacHNU They are now starting to expand the harbour, perhaps I could persuade them to make a real tall pier.

More old pier sloping videos from the marina.

Valenta Destiny, 137 cm small and real fast but It require a real good pilot, and absolutly not for beginners
Great in good conditions, but it can (and it will) tip stall and do some realy nasty highspeed stall. THE DESTINY FLIP.....
So unless you are good to repair fiberglass, then choose another glider..

I think I have broke the boom 5 times and the wing 3 time + many small repair..

But still i bought a second spare one...
Cool highspeed glider sound

Dsing the dunes at the westcoast in North Denmark.

That was HILARIOUS!
You're just having far too much fun.....
You have got to be the master of making the most out of the least when it comes to finding and using any possible slope and wind strength. Neatly done!

I live in Florida too. There are some slopes. Google slope soaring in Fla and you can see a video of some modelers who successfully slope soar. I am in Sebastian Fl and just 4 miles south of my location I found a small slope.........Ken
