Bird of Time Piggyback Launch
Our club held a benefit event yesterday for Wounded Warriors. It was our way of doing National Model Aviation Day. Wonderful time. Raised over $5,000 for WW.
One of the highlights of the day for me was getting to fly a Bird of Time off of a piggyback launch. I crossed the sky and almost immediately found some really nice lift! There were three birds flying it it, so I had a good idea where it was.
The flight ended up being nearly 25 minutes. First time I'd flown a sailplane in 10 years at least. It was awesome!
