The Ascent is a very good way to get your lift jollies. I have one and love it.

I've got two Ace High motor gliders and just love 'em! Lite ply and balsa fuse and it uses Ace's foam wings. Fast and easy build that will take some abuse too. I've got Cox TDs on mine and they will get some altitude in no time flat. There's two up on Ebay right now. Check it out.

What about the Skimmer?

The little Skimmer 400 is easy to build and I suspect this one would also be easy. Stick an 049 to 061 in the nose and go fly.

Pure glider....Great Planes Spirit
EletroGlider...Hobby Lobby Skimmer 400! Oh yeah baby!

I am ready to cover my second Skimmer 400. Box stock power/kit except for bolt on wing. No other mods. Fly good, look nice IMHO, and you can't beat the price. PERIOD!

I am kinda thinking about a pure glider version of the Skimmer also, no motor, just tow hook and move Rx,Sx's, and battery pack forward for balance. For the money, you just can't go wrong!
