Has anyone built the Bug glider from the RCM plans? What radio set up did you use? Is it possible to DLG launch it if you add more strength to the wing? My plans are on the way and just want to know where to go with it.

There are a lot of bugs zipping around. And, there have been several mods by some creative individuls that seem to make a good thing even better. After flying a stock Bug, I built Colin B's Carbon D-Bug design that withstands aggressive discus launches to amazing heights for a 4 ounce airplane. Both Bugs perform well for what they are. The vtail feels more maneuverable for the slope, but the cruciform tail launches arrow-straight and MUCH higher.
Check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BugHLG/ which is the central repository of bug builders/flyers. You'll see lace wings, stretched wings, carbon fuses, and more.
The attached picture shows my cruciform tail bug with carbon fuselage and right wingtip launching peg. Behind is a stock V-tail Bug.
