don't know about acetone... but glow fuel removes Great Stuff. And... Great Stuff "loves" glow fuel. (absorbs it so well it can make the foam into goo and leave dry balsa underneath.) If the acetone doesn't remove the foam... glow fuel will. (might try just rubbing alcohol first... bet it works...)
Snapped spar sounds like the most serious problem... (hardest to fix adequate to the loads.) I'll often go to the effort to remove the whole spar and replace it.
